For Prospective Families 

If you are interested in learning more about our school or have recently been accepted, join us and meet some of our community! We will have a welcome table to greet you and answer any questions you may have during the event. Make sure to stop by and say hello! 

For Families of Current Students

This event is for you! Bring your entire family so we can all celebrate together and raise money to fund goals that will impact the experience that our children will have while enrolled at César Chávez. 

For Sponsors

We welcome local DMV businesses to support us through in-kind donations or contributions to our silent auction.

Event Details

  • Who can attend this event? This is a community event open to all! We welcome both our Chávez school community as well as prospective students, community members, and others.
     

  • What type of payment are accepted? Cash, Paypal and credit card

  • What activities will take place? We will have a variety of fun activities that could include a bounce house, lotería, dunk tank, penalty kick, and temporary tattoo parlour. There will also be music, student dance performances! 
     

  • Tickets: This event is free to attend but food and activity tickets will be available for sale.
     

  • Food: Food will be available for purchase from local restaurants and food trucks! 
     

  • Parking: Parking at the school is extremely limited and reserved for those in need of parking accommodations. Please either park at Kidist Kidanemihret Ethiopian Orthodox Church (6509 Riggs Rd.) or use street parking. A rear entrance to the school grounds can be found next to 6315 Balfour Dr, Hyattsville, MD 20782.
     

  • Bathrooms: Bathrooms will be available inside the school. Please note the inside of the school is otherwise closed to the public.​

  • How will the funds raised be used? Funds raised will help improve our school grounds and make educational enhancements for the entire school.​
